On Sunday, November 9 a crowd of over 120 people gathered for WSLP's first ever Wing Wars competition. Eight local area restaurants participated and those attending got to sample all of the gourmet wings and vote for their favorite. The voting was close, but Wise Guys of Lake Placid came out on top and was crowned the Wing Wars Champion.
The event was a benefit for North Country Life Flight and raised almost $600 for the worthy cause.

Wing Wars was presented by Yuengling, distributed by A&M Beverages of Malone.
"The event was a tremendous success and it looks like it will become an annual tradition," said WSLP Vice President and General Manager Jon Lundin, "Everyone attending had a great time and we're looking forward to an even bigger event next year."
